Advertisements
Throughout my college career, I was given the opportunity to create advertisements for different organizations around campus such as The Big Blue Cupboard, our campus food pantry, and the Lambda Pi Eta group. In some situations, we met with a client to give a brief about their needs and guidelines. Other times, my classmates and I had free roam for ideas and coming up with an overall theme for advertisements, posters and event schedules. In this section, you will be able to get a sense of my creative mind and see a list of works I have created.
Writings
Writing is one of my main passions in life. I can attribute this all to my high school English teacher. She pushed us very hard to become better writers. I cannot thank her enough for planting the love of writing in me. This has been a skill I continue to develop and work on constantly. I believe it's a natural ability to write so easily and have the words go from my thoughts to the paper. In this section you will be able to look at the skills I have acquired in writing over the years. Many of my courses had intensive writing assignments that I have pulled from to show you my skills.
Campaign
My junior year of college, I was given the chance in my public relation strategy class to work with a non-profit organization called The Big Blue Cupboard. We created a campaign to reinvent the organization, and help them gain more attention. The Big Blue Cupboard was ready to open their doors to more students, and to help them get started we created events, news releases, a media kit with original works from the group, and focused on ways to gain more donations for the organization. This project developed over the entire semester and the class worked as a firm to complete the campaign. At the end of the semester we presented to the client and gave them a printed copy of our plan. In this section you will be able to look at samples of the work I created and as a class, what we accomplished.
Photography
In this section you will be able to look over creative photographs that I have taken while studying at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I have a rather abstract eye, and love to capture things from a different perspective. Some pictures came from a class known as Photography and Cultural Change, where we would take social issues and try to capture them through a lens. Others are just from trips I have taken or a picture I snapped when something caught my eye.
